We are looking for a foster home for Dasch, a 1-yr old 41 lb male basset hound mix coming up from Irving, TX in the next week or so. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, friendly with everyone and was just pulled off death row!
The foster would need to take care of him in their home and also be available to bring him to Saturday adoption events in Park Slope, Brooklyn, 12pm to 6 pm.
Please help us spread the word. If you know anyone interested in fostering or adopting this little guy, contact Emily at (917) 292-6779 or email us at bark.at.us@slreservoirdogs.com.

Hi Everyone, my name is Daisy. I am a five month old pit/lab mix. I was found by a little boy roaming the streets in Brooklyn. I am in urgent need of a loving forever home. I am about 25 pounds and I am a sweet girl. Just looking for a place to rest my head, play and call home.
I get along with dogs and cats. I am in a vets' office right now but would love a place to call my own. I am full of hugs, kisses and very playful. I will be spayed and up to date on vaccinations before I go to my new forever home.
If anyone is interested in Daisy, please call immediately!

RIGGS - SPECIAL NEEDS/Owner Surrender
Breed: German Shepard
Gender: Male, neutered
Age: 1 year old
Color: Black, tan, and white
Eye Color: Brown
Cats: Maybe
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Not Recommended
Hi everyone, it's Julie the trainer from Every Dog Has Its Day Ltd. One of my clients has this beautiful German Shepard that is up for adoption. Riggs is a very dominant male, about 110 lbs, only one year old, healthy, up to date on shots, and neutered.
Riggs can be really sweet with the right person, a person who shows him no fear. He's great with me and his family. The problem is, he's from a puppy mill and was sold by Maxi Biggs in the mall. He's not your normal German Shepherd. He has tons of energy and needs a lot of discipline.
Riggs needs an owner who will be consistent and keep up on his training at all times. Not saying that he can't be played with, which he does enjoy very much, but with too much affection he starts to take advantage. He knows all his commands, heel, sit, auto sit, stay, down, come, NO, okay. He just needs someone who will be very consistent in his training with him. To speak the truth, he has attempted to bite a few people. Honestly he could have done a lot more damage but didn't, so my guess is that it was stemming from fear. I wasn't there so I couldn't say for sure. He has never broken skin.
If someone adopts him, I will show them how to handle him, and keep him under control. The current owners love him but don't have the time to do what this dog needs. When he gets the right amount of exercise and the right amount of control he's fine.
I wouldn't recommend a home with children unless he can be introduced to them slowly, or preferably older children. He seems to get along fine with other dogs. I also had him under control around cats and although he was not allowed to be loose with them, he looked like he just wanted to play. My regimented program will ensure that he will not hurt anyone.
His owners are afraid that if they can't find him a home they'll have to have him destroyed. They won't take him to a shelter where he'll be put in a cage for 3 days and then euthanized. They also don't want to see him hurt anyone.
Like I said, I really wouldn't consider him a completely dangerous dog. With the proper control he should be fine. He at least deserves a chance. Please forward this to everyone you know to help find a home for Riggs.
